The Eniac joint initiative is a programme of cooperation between the European Commission, industry and national public authorities to promote microelectronics research and development in Europe. While targeted at the entire electronics industry, this 7 year initiative has also been created very much with SME's in mind, intending to provide critical funding to assist the creativeness of Europes smaller companies. Peter Connock is a member of the Eniac Joint Initiative governing board and also sits on the board of the AENEAS industry group for the programme.
